A Better Understanding Of Hypnosis
By Willie Krut, Thu Dec 8th

In order to practice for therapeutic reasons you willneed three elements: imagination, concentration, and a realmotivation to be hypnotized. Every time someone works with agroup to induce we can still say we are talking aboutself-hypnosis. It is every person’s individual option if theywish to collaborate with the operator and experience hypnosis.Releasing the power of your subconscious mind takes some timeand practice, but it can then be used to improve most aspects ofyour life. Therapeutic is not available to all people, but most of us can reach light or medium states throughconcentration and patience. Deep levels of produce thebest therapeutic results, but beginners may also achieveefficient states of relaxation and inner peace too. Lighterlevels of usually enable their operators to experiencefeelings of relaxation and calmness. Various perceptions ofphysical changes may also occur: tingling sensations in thefingers, blinking eyelids, a sensation of weight in some partsof the body etc. The intensity of these experiences is low, buta few weeks of practice can teach you how to develop theseskills even further. Another element that often relates toinitial is time distortion. Most subjects will believethey were hypnotized for a shorter amount of time than it is inreality. After a few hypnotic experiences a person will start toget a better perception of the passing time. The altered statebecomes more enhanced as we progress to medium levels ofhypnosis. Physical perceptions gain more importance and thesubject may experience heightened tingling feelings or heavinessin the lower body. Some subjects experience floating sensationsand all these feelings are perceived as being very real by theone being hypnotized. This stage allows the hypnotist to suggeststronger visual images in the subject’s mind. At this level, creating illusions becomes more accessible. New thresholds thatwere unavailable previously now become apparent. Consciousawareness may fade out for the patient when the level ofhypnosis deepens. Even better mental and physical responses canbe achieved through the somnambulistic levels of hypnosis.Several physiologic responses can be observed, such as the REM(rapid eye movement) usually associated with dreams duringsleep. At this stage the patients may experience completeconscious amnesia, being virtually absent from their surroundingreality. This is also the level where strong hallucinationsoccur, during the actual process and even after itends. is seen as the sleep of the nervous system. Thereis a decrease of the rate of respiration, not as strong as theone experienced during sleep. Circulation also slows down, together with the brain waves. Brain waves variations inintensity start with beta, the fastest, then slow to alpha, theta and delta. Beta waves are primary when the mind is under anormal state of consciousness. Reduced levels of hypnosisdecrease the brain wave activity to alpha and deeper levels maytake a subject’s brain waves all the way to theta. Variousapplications of include therapeutic pain relief, psychological treatment and many more. To learn other ways toimprove yourself visit the http://www.welcome-to-self-improvement.com site.
